Remember ‘the girl’ in that iconic rescue video who survived the horrific Jan. 9, 2018 Montecito mud slide that devastated a community, destroyed numerous homes and claimed the lives of 23 people – including her father and brother?

Her name is Lauren Cantin and on that horrific day, with all that she lost, this remarkable 15- year- old demonstrated she can overcome this tragedy. Through song, Lauren embraced her natural talent and gained the confidence to become a survivor and role model, found her voice.
